I probably should have been cast as Cinderella because my favorite role was definitely Custodial Operations. This was the Bevor du fragst Nein Katze Ironic Slogan Funny Shirt I ever worked, and I actually went back to it after being a Character Performer for about six or seven months (see shoulder damage from wig). Custodians had so much more freedom, and some of the greatest responsibility’s. Officially we were park cleaners, but it was sooo much more than that. I would say 25% cleaning and 75% guest services, magical moment making and general playing. The cleaning we did was HARD, I won’t sugar coat that. But honestly, you get jaded really fast. And work gave me great exercise, about 11 miles of walking on street days, pusing 50-300lbs of trash, but man oh man was it worth it. Custodians are the only Cast Members who can go anywhere in the park, I have walked the tracks of Space Mountain, sat on top of Beast’s castle (the new Be Our Guest Restraunt, after hours of course) I have had the Be Our Guest ballroom ALL TO MYSELF. We conduct the fireworks, draw with water, give free ice cream to great guests, truly the caretakers of the park.
